Welcoming Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton

We are delighted to share that today we had the immense pleasure of welcoming Minister for Education Hildegarde Naughton, TD Michael Carrigy, our patron Bishop Paul Connell, and our esteemed colleagues from Meán Scoil Mhuire Longford to our school.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to engage with our Oak and Willow classes, as well as participate in some of our religion classes. Their presence brought a wonderful spirit of collaboration and learning to our school community.

Following the classroom visits, a sit-down meeting took place, where our Dept Principal Mr. Gacquin presented our exciting plans for the amalgamation of Mean Scoil Mhuire and St. Mel's College in the coming years. This initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing educational opportunities for our students.
