The TY class of 2025 thoroughly enjoyed their last day of Transition Year today. The day began with the TY awards ceremony with every student achieving either a pass, merit, or distinction. The students received a folder containing all of their certificates of achievement. Kyle Kane, Michael Gacquin, and Nathan McKenna were awarded 'Students of the Year' for their outstanding contribution to Transition Year. Ruairi Bergin and Alex Johnston announced the novelty awards, which included 'Best Bromance', 'Most Stylish' and much more. A huge thank you to Arturs who prepared a fantastic video containing photos and videos of the TY highlights. The students then participated in several outdoor games such as Tug of War, 3 legged race, egg and spoon race, and sack race. The day concluded with an outdoor pizza party. This brought closure to a fantastic year in which the students learned valuable life skills, grew in confidence and maturity, and experienced new things outside of the typical classroom environment. A huge thank you to our TY coordinator, Ms. Emma Dempsey, for another successful Transition Year. The TYs showed their appreciation by presenting Ms. Dempsey with a bouquet of flowers.
