We had a fantastic day on Friday 9th May as we hosted 240 children from primary schools of Killoe, Ardagh, Kenagh, Balinalee, Drumlish, Fermoyle, St Michael’s BNS, St Eimers, Melview, Clondra for a 5th class mixed blitz. It was fantastic to see such skill sets and camaraderie from all groups! We were fortunate to have so many past pupils present eager to bring in their classes to join in the activities. A special mention to past pupil and county Board GPO Paddy O’Connor who was one of our coordinators on the day with our own Mr. Garvey and Mr. Rabbitt. The day was an extreme success as our TY’s, 5th year and 6th year students showed such initiative and leadership aiding all class groups. We also had a special guest on the day as the Leinster cup made its final appearance in Longford with current student and Longford captain Mark Cooney. Thank you to all the schools teachers and students who participated in this truly wonderful event. A huge thank you to 1st Year student Malachy Galvin who took the photos on the day.
