1st Year Trip to Knock Shrine
On Monday, our first-year students embarked on an extraordinary journey to Knock Shrine in County Mayo. This day was filled with learning and bonding, creating memories.
The boys participated in a fascinating tour led by Robert and Grace, which culminated in a heartfelt Mass celebrated by our very own Fr. Tony in the Apparition Chapel.
Highlights of the trip included:
- Experiencing the Healing Wall: The boys had the unique opportunity to view and touch this significant feature.
- Visiting the Basilica: They explored its stunning architecture and spiritual significance.
- Understanding Pilgrimage: The boys learned about the rich traditions and attributes of pilgrimage.
To top off the day, we made a stop at Supermac's on the way home, ensuring everyone had a chance to refuel after a fulfilling day!

TUS Athlone Visit
Our students had a fantastic day at the Technological University of the Shannon Law Academy!
They took part in mock trials, practiced courtroom skills, and explored careers in law through engaging, hands-on sessions in the Moot Courtroom. It was a valuable opportunity to build confidence, develop public speaking, and experience the legal world first-hand.

Rian McCaffery Athletics
A massive congratulations to Rian McCaffrey for successfully finishing his training camp for the National Schools Outdoors and National Clubs Outdoors!
Rian has just wrapped up an intensive training week in Portugal, located in Santa Gordo near Faro, at a high-performance training facility. This experience offered him a remarkable glimpse into the life and preparation of a full-time athlete.
What an outstanding achievement and a significant step forward—well done, Rian!
Joe Shannon Snooker
Massive congratulations to 3rd year student and snooker star, Joe Shannon! Guided by Irish legend Fergal O’Brien, Joe delivered an impressive performance, culminating in a convincing win against James Stewart O’Reilly in the final.
A highlight of the event was receiving his trophy from the great Ronnie O’Sullivan, who praised Joe's exceptional cuing action.
Joe also shone in the national under 16 competition in Carlow, dropping just one frame and scoring a high break of 75. With his sights set on the national finals in June at Snooker and Billiards HQ, we can't wait to see what’s next for him!
