6th Year student Fawad Ali Asif represented St. Mel's College at the Interschools Music Festival in Dublin last Friday. Fawad played one of his own compositions for piano and was up against four of the best young pianists in the country. Fawad was awarded a 'Highly Acclaimed' by the judge, who went on to describe his performance as "exceptional." This is a fantastic result for someone who is self-taught, as all the other competitors were classically trained. Well done Fawad on your achievement.
