European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) Programme.

A group of TY students are taking part in a programme to get the school recognised as a European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS). In help them achieve this they have an “EU Noticeboard” with information about various EU projects and European Parliament issues. This noticeboard will be updated every week and will contain relative information as well as some fun facts. It is located in the new building near the Computer Room. They will also be organising a “European Day” in the school which might involve food tasting, table quizzes, music festival or other activities, and hope to invite one of our MEP’s to visit the school before the E.P. elections in May. They have already entered 2 competitions the prizes for which are trips to E.U. institutions in Strassbourg and Brussels! At the end of the programme the students will be awarded a participation certificate or a Junior Ambassador Cert. if they get actively involved in the programme. Although still very young Mr. O Connell is the “Senior Ambasador” for this project! Thanks to Mr O’Connell for his work with TYs on this project.
