Christmas week begins with Jolly Jumper Day for local Hostels.

The week of Christmas activities started on Friday with the Jolly Jumper day for local hostels St Martha’s and Bethany House which are both run by St Vincent de Paul.We are delighted to announce that the staff and students raised €650 on the day and this will be a great boost for this charity in the town.

The school Staff had their Christmas Lunch this year locally in Take Two Restaurant and everyone was suitably impressed with the hospitality shown. Its always nice to support our local businesses.

On Wednesday next the Christmas Carol Service will take place in St Mel’s Cathedral where our 6th Year Choir under the watchful eye of our great friend Bridie Goebels will get us all into the Christmas spirit.

On Thursday the Annual school concert/Talent Show will take place in the assembly Hall at 8pm and there will be a great variety of Music/Song and comedy on show as the student body get the opportunity to display their talents. We thank Paula Oates for all the time and energy which she has put into the show since Halloween.

A donation from the proceeds on the night will go towards the Go Fund Me for past pupil Fintan Ward who has undergone serious surgery abroad recently.
